As soon as Tigger disappeared beyond the edge of the jungle, Rosie grabbed her spotter scope and made her way to where Tigger had entered. She walked at the edge of the jungle around the perimeter so Tigger wouldn’t see her and she waited just at the edge of the underbrush. She could see Tigger clearly through the scope and it looked like she was just sitting and waiting.

Another Creed showed up and sat next to Tigger. Then the strangest thing happened. Rosie could have sworn she heard them talking to each other. Not really sounds, mind you, but she still heard them. And, it was in English. Broken a bit, mind you, but clear as day. This was confusing.

She shook her head to clear it and the two cats took off deeper into the jungle. They weren’t moving too fast, so Rosie could keep up, but she had to hide behind large trees three times when the cats stopped and turned around to look in her direction. The last time, she was sure they saw her, but they turned back around and continued into the jungle.

When they got to the clearing with all the other cats, Rosie wasn’t sure what to think. She found a good, solid tree well outside the perimeter and climbed up about half way. This turned out to be an excellent vantage point, and she settled in to watch the cats in the clearing.

Tigger slowly walked through the multitude of Creed, who all parted to allow her to pass, and up onto a small knoll. She sat on her haunches and all the rest of the big cats settled down.

When they were all quiet, she began.

It is time to talk once again about bringing enlightenment to the inhabitants of this world, Tigger thought. They are different, but they are the ones who defeated the great attacker. They seem to be a kind and benevolent species and are attempting to bring our world back from the destruction and death it has suffered. We must help them. We lost the opportunity to help the Anuu and the others because we waited too long. We must not let it happen again.

The conversation continued for almost an hour, and Rosie sat halfway up the tree and tried to listen to the whole thing. The big cats went back and forth talking about the current occupants of their world and the previous species that had occupied it. They seemed to understand that the humans were not from their system, but were from another world, far away.

All of them agreed it was time to let the humans know who they were and what they could do. They also talked about a species called the First Race. Rosie couldn’t follow much of this conversation, but it sounded like those were the ones who helped the big cats become who they were.

When the meeting finally broke up, Rosie hurried back to the diner ahead of Tigger. Tigger came padding in a few minutes
